Job Title : Public Relations
Location : Mumbai
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop a communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics
- Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
- Maximize brand presence on various channels (e.g. Web, TV and social media)
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with media and influential professionals
- Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
- Arrange interviews and press releases to promote company’s products
- Ensure brand consistency in all advertising efforts
- Manage media inquiries and interview requests
- Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorship and advertising on an on-going basis
- Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
- Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
- Build an external network relationship with agencies, media publications, channels etc
- Arranging speaking engagements at various forums including industry forums
- Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis
- Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorship, and advertising on an on-going basis
- Influencing peers and stakeholders in other functions to achieve the operational and communication goals assigned
Required Skills:
- Expertise in coordinating successful PR campaigns
- Expertise in handling different social media networks
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with confidence to serve as the company’s spokesperson
- Creative abilities
- Ability to foster long term relationships with media agencies and key professionals
Education and experience:
- Proven work experience as a Public Relations Head/PR Manager or similar role
- Post graduate/Diploma in public relations or a two-year master’s degree in communication and journalism, specializing in PR or relevant field
- 10-12 years of experience in PR.
- The incumbent would be part of Shriram Capital and would be interacting across 2-3 group entities.
